Doesn't it look like something is eating the iris?
It's been such a long winter season. At least there are flowers inside. More pics of the bouquet on the dining table.
The forsythia,
And some bananas and watermelon in the kitchen.
An interesting flower study I did of a flower market in Marienplatz, Munich Germany after visiting.
In the house this week. Getting ready for spring with daffodils, lilies, and new watercolor paintings that have springs flowers in them.
Working on redbud blossoms and cerulean warblers.
I've been painting my shoes. Here's the first look at them.
I use a special paint made for leather. It's flexible and won't crack.
I'm having so much fun. I'm not sure what I will paint next. But certainly will do more flowers!
I saw these shooting star hydrangeas at the store and had to have them. They remind me of New Years, renewal, winter, snowflakes, and of course, shooting stars.
I love hydrangeas in general, especially the blue ones all over New England and Cape Cod. The regular white round ones are quite common here in the midwest along with pink ones. I heard it's the acidity in the soil that turns the flowers blue.
But I have never seen the shooting star hydrangea in a landscape. They are definitely a welcome addition to the frozen landscape here in the Midwest, USA. I will keep them inside though so they don't freeze to death. Haha.
