Using a 3D Printer
Our library here in Elmhurst, IL has a 3D printer, among many other cool things like large format printers, knitting machines, silhouette die cutters, video and sound equipment, and much more available to residents. So I have been working with my daughter on some projects. This is my daughter's first project, a model of a makeup case. The material is a corn bioplastic and we used the suggested beginner's program Tinkercad to design. Then just send the file to the library for printing. Easy as can be. Quite fun also. I hope to share more projects with you in the future!
White Iris and Spray Roses
Have you ever seen white iris before? I have seen purple iris all my life. But when I saw these white iris, I just had to have them. They remind me of paper whites and other winter white florals. As much as I love color this time of year, there is something very clean and refreshing about white flowers.
I also found these pale pink spray roses for $5! What a bargain from Marianos in Westchester. Okay. I already painted them! See below. Kind of a funky abstract playful painting.
Hope you enjoy my new painting.
Welcome to My Virtual Bakery
If you saw my post regarding 2017 themes, you will know that February was a month for me to paint sweet treats. Here is a video slide show of some of my past sweet desserts.
Pancakes and Strawberries
I made some delicious pumpkin pancakes with a little bit of nutmeg, cinnamon, and cardamom today. And of course, maple syrup and butter made the meal complete. Oh, I almost forgot! Fresh organic strawberries from the market as well. I eat the tops and all. Haha.
But sadly, the pics of the pancakes I arranged so nicely on a plate with melting butter and maple syrup did not turn out. I forgot to reformat my SD card. So even though I clicked, they did not take or save. I feel sad about that.
But I did find a picture of the strawberries on my phone on my snapchat (angelamoulton is my snapchat ID).
