Right now there are a lot of violets, ground ivy, and lily of the valley on the ground in my yard in Elmhurst.
I am really enjoying the fleeting moments in the garden with the perennial wildflowers.
I also have colorful pansies in pots around the house.
And a few carnations and fun things.
Love this pink!
Just some photos from around the house. First, the blood oranges are in! Have you tried these? Red as wine inside. And delicious too!
Second, the dried gouache in a flower-shaped palette looks like a work of art to me! Freshly bloomed.
Third, grape hyacinth starting to fade. Will put in the ground soon by the peonies in the back yard.
Fourth and last, some seed packets to go in the Elmhurst house garden.
Since spring is here, I am getting ready for spring with many pastel and fun spring themed paintings.
In April I am working on baby animals in oil paint, botanical watercolors, and vintage styled watercolor and gouache paintings. I feel very excited to share them with you!
In case you don't have time to watch the whole video of me painting peeps I posted yesterday, here are some photos of the peeps I painted.
I painted them in gouache paint on watercolor paper.
I also ate one of each :D
Next I am going to paint some baby chick peeps.
See you later!
