If you saw my post regarding 2017 themes, you will know that February was a month for me to paint sweet treats. Here is a video slide show of some of my past sweet desserts.
I made some delicious pumpkin pancakes with a little bit of nutmeg, cinnamon, and cardamom today. And of course, maple syrup and butter made the meal complete. Oh, I almost forgot! Fresh organic strawberries from the market as well. I eat the tops and all. Haha.
But sadly, the pics of the pancakes I arranged so nicely on a plate with melting butter and maple syrup did not turn out. I forgot to reformat my SD card. So even though I clicked, they did not take or save. I feel sad about that.
But I did find a picture of the strawberries on my phone on my snapchat (angelamoulton is my snapchat ID).
It's been so beautiful outside that I have been working with watercolor paints in my back yard. It's a little risky with the leaves and other debris that lands on the paper. But it's worth it to me. I love feeling the sun on my legs and I work and the change in light patterns makes work come alive.
And besides this little guy I actually finished today (here is a quick video if you are interested):
And here are the yellow lilies I blogged about last week...
Just had dinner at my parent's farmhouse in Wisconsin. Started with bacon-wrapped dates.
Then we had a spinach and fruit salad with toppings like goat cheese crumbles and sunflower seeds. Following salad was an old-fashioned meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and green beans.
I didn't take a photo of it. But there was a delicious chocolate icebox cake for dessert. Everything was comfort food and so tasty on a cold February Wisconsin evening. Hope you all had a great weekend.
I purchased some beautiful yellow lilies the other day and am so excited that they are now in full bloom.
Because now they are ready to paint!
I plan to paint both in watercolor and oil paint. I can't wait to see how the paintings turn out. I'll keep you posted.
