The Makery is open in the basement of my library. I am very excited. I signed up for a class in learning to use the new Silhouette machine. It can do so many things like die cutting over 100 materials.
There are large format printers, laminators, power tools, sewing machines, embroidery machines, button makers, and much more.
Here is a Maker Bot 3D printer. I am also taking a class in using this machine. I hope to post updates in the future.
Our library here in Elmhurst, IL has a 3D printer, among many other cool things like large format printers, knitting machines, silhouette die cutters, video and sound equipment, and much more available to residents. So I have been working with my daughter on some projects. This is my daughter's first project, a model of a makeup case. The material is a corn bioplastic and we used the suggested beginner's program Tinkercad to design. Then just send the file to the library for printing. Easy as can be. Quite fun also. I hope to share more projects with you in the future!
