Hi everyone!  This week I have been painting all of the spring flowers I have brought home from the grocer.  Rainbow tulip bouquets, orchids, iris, and more! Loving the bright colors of spring!

Since spring is here, I am getting ready for spring with many pastel and fun spring themed paintings.   In April I am working on baby animals in oil paint, botanical watercolors, and vintage styled watercolor and gouache paintings.  I feel very excited to share them with you!

In the spring, the male deer and elk drop their antlers.  Then they grow new ones in the spring.  It is fun to hike the hills where they have been and try to find them.  I love the smell of the sagebrush hills; not fully awake yet. There are signs of spring and contrasts such as bright green, velvety moss peeking through a blanket of melting snow and twisted sagebrush.

Max, our corgi dog loves to wander.  He is quite independent, unlike our border collie.   Even though he has short little legs, he can cover a lot of territory!
