Telling Stores in Paint is an article about me and my art. And more importantly, the article is about inspiration for creating art. Featured in the newest issue of Cottages and Bungalows, (Vol. 10, no. 4); the article shows some of my smaller pieces, tells why I paint, how I got into painting, and encouragement to take up a paintbrush yourself is so inspired. Always a lover of color, don't be afraid to take a few risks in your environment. If you are not ready to learn to paint or create some work of art, or invest in original artwork, think about purchasing art prints. This was great for my buyers because, as an unknown artist, they had a third party to mediate and guarantee compliance, satisfaction, or at least a place to complain if there were any grievances. But I realize here on my independent website (this section run via shopify), there is not a third party to go to if there are problems. Or hopefully to leave rave reviews! So here you go. I feel so excited about the upcoming release of a new book by Angus Hyland and published by Laurence King Publishing.
The book will be released May 31st in the US. Twenty-four of my bird paintings are featured in the book.
The book is called "The Book of the Bird". It's a carefully collected book of bird art by past and present artists. Full blog post here.

I feel so excited to be offering my fine art prints to you. I've been waiting for the right platform and setting. I wanted to maintain control of as much of the process as possible. I have tried other services and wasn't completely satisfied with the quality and options available. So I am very glad to be able to offer you prints directly from my art studio. I only use the finest materials and archival papers and inks available. The prints are hand trimmed and packaged with stiff backing in a clear sleeve. Then shipped in a protective cardboard folding box. You may notice the sizes are no larger than 8 x 10 inches. That is the largest...
Hi there! I am so excited to open my new shopify store. Why? So I can provide and share my art with you. For some time, I have been receiving many requests and comments from you telling me of your troubles finding ways to purchase my art. Many have told me of their frustration at clicking on an item and finding it sold, time and time again. Well, now you can purchase many of my prints. These are printed directly in my art studio and shipped with love. The sizes are currently small due to the small resolution image sizes of the art I have taken in the past, as well as the size limitations of my current fine art...
