I purchased these roses on clearance last year. I never planted them. I thought they would die over the winter. The lesson I learned was: don't complain about life and bloom where you are planted. I am going to plant them in a nice sunny spot in the ground.

I have a variety of flowers in pots around the house. I always love the red and very patriotic looking geraniums in the summer.
My son gave me the purple and pink petunias for Mother's Day. Love the gorgeous colors.
And since I took this photo, the roses are in full bloom. I didn't even prune them last year, hence the dead rose hip from last year. Just love the colors in June. No wonder so many people get married in June. The garden flowers are so pretty.
My mother gave me the most adorable little succulent planter. She got it at the Lake Geneva, WI farmer's market. The lady who made it makes planters out of children's shoes. My mother also has a little boy's suede hiking boot planter. I don't have a photo of that. But I love my new Mary Jane planter.
I know, I know....more food photos. I am having so much fun with the colors in my garden that it's really hard to not post the photos.
My go-to snack/meal lately. So delicious with herbed cream cheese, shallots, snipped herbs, cucumbers, and smoked salmon. Yum.
Oh, and don't forget dessert!
