I buy flowers for the house every week. This week there was a pink bouquet featuring a protea flower.
Protea, roses, lilies, and another pink flower plus some bending branches.
Yesterday I helped one of my daughters move to a new place. Here we are packing her bedroom.
And bathroom. Just moving across town in Chicago. Here is her old view.
While practicing my tendus at ballet class at Joffrey Ballet Studios, Chicago, one morning I noticed a beautiful scene.
Among the hustle and bustle on State Street, a family of sparrows was sharing a meal in a freshly leafed out elm tree.
I recently started diffusing essential oils in the home. Not only is it satisfying, it's fun to use. The variety of essential oils is vast and practical. One can get calming, uplifting, cleansing, sensual. It may sound hoaxy. But the oils really can lift the mood or calm the mind (in my experience).
Even as a young child, I never liked the chemical scent of air fresheners. But essential oils are a different story. They are genuine organic oils (by organic, I mean not man made -- but some are certified organic too).
In the house this week. Getting ready for spring with daffodils, lilies, and new watercolor paintings that have springs flowers in them.
Working on redbud blossoms and cerulean warblers.
