This robin is getting used to my camera. She was inching closer and closer until my son slammed the door shut on his way out. I
She was chirping to, calling out to her fledgling baby.
What a pretty eye you have! And a pretty red breast.
Don't worry. I won't hurt you. Bye! She flew off when my son shut the door loudly.
Most mornings I start with a few stretches and exercises.
The tennis ball is an absolute favorite of mine for stretching out sore muscles and tendons in tight and hard-to-get places. I'll probably make a video in the near future showing how I use it.
I also love therabands and small hand weights. These are easy, small items to keep at home or in the studio. That way one can get a few exercises in in between paintings!
I've been working on some new bird and flower paintings mostly in watercolor and gouache on paper. But here is a rose painting I recently finished. I really love painting roses in both watercolor and oil painting. A white rose is especially difficult because one things there is no color in white. But there are actually many colors.
And here is a picture plane I made with some glass. I've been having fun with it, looking for interesting objects in the home (and especially interesting views) to paint.
