I purchased these roses on clearance last year. I never planted them. I thought they would die over the winter. The lesson I learned was: don't complain about life and bloom where you are planted. I am going to plant them in a nice sunny spot in the ground.

I have a variety of flowers in pots around the house. I always love the red and very patriotic looking geraniums in the summer.
My son gave me the purple and pink petunias for Mother's Day. Love the gorgeous colors.
And since I took this photo, the roses are in full bloom. I didn't even prune them last year, hence the dead rose hip from last year. Just love the colors in June. No wonder so many people get married in June. The garden flowers are so pretty.
I found these coral colored roses and couldn't resist taking them home. It's March 15 but the whole Eastern Seaboard is in a blizzard and we are below freezing with snow here in Chicago. We need some color in the house!
And this English teapot makes the perfect-imperfect vessel.
Look for possibly some coral rose paintings coming soon.
