The English lavender is ready to harvest! It's the most fragrant thing in my house. In fact, I can smell it as I list and look at the photos I am posting.
But I have decided to dry this lavender. I will rubber band it and hang it upside down. When dry, I will shake and brush the buds off for later use. English lavender is good for culinary purposes too.
I also picked some wild daisies and cornflowers at my parent's farm in Wisconsin. I was there to wish my father a Happy Father's Day. Wishing all fathers a blessed day.
Peonies are in full bloom, as well as lupine, coral bells, and bearded iris.
Here are more flower seeds that have not even been planted yet for hollyhocks and who-knows-what-else.
More second-act peonies.
I purchased these roses on clearance last year. I never planted them. I thought they would die over the winter. The lesson I learned was: don't complain about life and bloom where you are planted. I am going to plant them in a nice sunny spot in the ground.

I have a variety of flowers in pots around the house. I always love the red and very patriotic looking geraniums in the summer.
My son gave me the purple and pink petunias for Mother's Day. Love the gorgeous colors.
And since I took this photo, the roses are in full bloom. I didn't even prune them last year, hence the dead rose hip from last year. Just love the colors in June. No wonder so many people get married in June. The garden flowers are so pretty.
My mother gave me the most adorable little succulent planter. She got it at the Lake Geneva, WI farmer's market. The lady who made it makes planters out of children's shoes. My mother also has a little boy's suede hiking boot planter. I don't have a photo of that. But I love my new Mary Jane planter.
