Visiting My Parents' Farm in Wisconsin

Yesterday I visited my parents on their farm in Wisconsin. It's not really a working farm. My father is retired and they lease their fields to other farmers and grow enough vegetables for themselves.  They also have chickens.  They also have a creek for fishing on the Nippersink.  There is a foot bridge where the grandkids go to fish. My mom likes the color red.    My brother gave my mom this funky pot last year for Mother's Day. My sister gave her this chocolate chicken from France.

Studio Idaho

I have moved a lot of my watercolor painting and acrylic painting to my Idaho art studio.  They are both paints that dry quickly, which allows me to easily ship and produce them.  While the actual painting time can be painstaking slow with watercolor, they are dry within 24 hours.  Look forward to more watercolor and acrylic paintings as well as my usually favorite oil paintings.

Hiking and Looking for Antlers

In the spring, the male deer and elk drop their antlers.  Then they grow new ones in the spring.  It is fun to hike the hills where they have been and try to find them.  I love the smell of the sagebrush hills; not fully awake yet. There are signs of spring and contrasts such as bright green, velvety moss peeking through a blanket of melting snow and twisted sagebrush.
