I celebrated Easter today with family. My parents have a farm in Wisconsin. They had some new baby chicks, just a week old.
My mother and daughter. Quite the height difference!
My mom always has a fun time decorating for the holidays.
I recently blogged about some baby birds that had fallen out of their nest during a rain and thunder storm. And they subsequently died. But the good news is, there is so much little life in my neighborhood and even back yard. This is my neighbors light and is seen from my back yard. The mother is eyeing me because she knows I am taking a picture.
She was so fat but is now thin and agile again. Her babies will chirp and she will come running.
This is so sad.
After the heavy rains, I was in my back yard and found a dead baby bird. I looked up and it had fallen through a hole in this nest. The heavy rains must have been too much for the nest structure and weight of the baby bird. I think it was a baby robin.
So I got some paper towels and placed the bird in the flowers, the lily of the valley and such by the edge of the yard.
