News — winter RSS

It was one of those days where the weather couldn't make up its mind.  Started out warm and sunny.  Then big fluffy flakes started falling softly.  Before long, it was falling so fast and strong that visibility became difficult, the ground was covered in snow.  Then just as fast, the came out and melted the whole lot.  

Snow is a lot of work and can even be dangerous.  But on the flip side, it's a lot of fun!  Camille marched over to a meadow by our home with some trees and park benches.  The side walks were not clear.  But the snow was "virgin" and we couldn't resist making snow angels and stomping around like five-year olds. If it's going to be cold, at least we will make the most of it. :)

Chicago got hit hard with a snowstorm and it's still snowing!  Schools and businesses are closed today.  And I'm in the warm home painting away.   Later this afternoon I am baking a lemon cake.  I really feel like Elsa from the movie Frozen!
