I was looking for Western Tanager birds and saw that a bunch of chokecherry trees were in bloom. A grove of chokecherry trees. Aspen grove.  Do you see the bear marks? Currant flowers. Syringa blossoms on in the foothills. Wild berries.  

Springtime Mountain Snowfall.  It's a good thing lilacs like cold weather. More snow-covered lilacs. Plum blossoms got a dusting of snow too.

Today was a beautiful day for a nature walk.  While I was walking, I caught a glimpse of a deer running. The mountains still have snow.  As it melts, it will come running down the creeks into the valleys and turn everything green.

I saw a sandhill crane flying today.  One can tell it's a sandhill crane because it flies with its feet straight out behind.

I found an abandoned hummingbird nest in the yard below the pine tree.
