While there were many more wildflowers in Door County, I only took photos at Cave Point State Park.
Actually, this butterfly picture is from Peninsula State Park. The rest are from Cave Point though.
While not exactly flowers, the leaves were just flirting with changing colors. The fall here is just a fairytale land of colors.
Pure white snowberries.
And one of my favorites, Queen Anne's Lace.
Another great view is Cave Point State Park.
I didn't. But some people were cliff jumping in certain places.
The water was crystal clear. If one is in the kayak, there are little caves to explore.
Beauty everywhere in Door County Wisconsin. This is Lake Michigan side of the peninsula.
Labor Day weekend was spent in Door County, Wisconsin. The first day we spent at Peninsula State Park which is woods, beaches, and of course, water.
Lots of nature and perfect weather.
Lots of wildlife.
Summer fun to still be had!
Monarch butterflies all over the place.
A family of ducks.
Actually, the recipe is a cake. But it makes perfect muffins. Especially because it's a dense and sturdy and moist cake filled with grated zucchini, lots of cocoa, and both butter and oil and eggs. Plus buttermilk gives it that muffin-like texture and crumb.
The muffins are perfect for this time of year with zucchini is at its peak and grows like crazy (like the giant zucchini behind the muffins).
