I made homemade macaroons because I always wanted to try making them. Also, I made them because I am painting a still life of them. I was going to make different colored and flavored ones. But I will start with just vanilla macaroons.
I have been busy baking and painting a series of paintings focused on sweet treats such as cupcakes and fruits like strawberries. I am enjoying both painting and baking. Will be ready and for sale in about a week.
Having fun painting an assortment of cupcakes. I love decorated cupcakes with sprinkles. But I also love this time of year cupcakes decorated with fresh flowers.
Here I added buttercup flowers to a coconut cupcake.
Then I painted both of these cupcakes.
