Bloom where you are planted! Happy February! Snow, snow, lovely snow...

Snow is a lot of work and can even be dangerous.  But on the flip side, it's a lot of fun!  Camille marched over to a meadow by our home with some trees and park benches.  The side walks were not clear.  But the snow was "virgin" and we couldn't resist making snow angels and stomping around like five-year olds. If it's going to be cold, at least we will make the most of it. :)

Chicago got hit hard with a snowstorm and it's still snowing!  Schools and businesses are closed today.  And I'm in the warm home painting away.   Later this afternoon I am baking a lemon cake.  I really feel like Elsa from the movie Frozen!  

Winter solstice has come and gone so I am so looking forward to longer days again!  Right now the sun goes down and it is dark in Chicago by just after 4:30 pm! So how do I handle the cold dark days?  Lots of chocolate for one. Night Sledding. And more snacks like tortilla chips, vegetables, and guacamole.  Lemon ginger kombucha too.   How are you enjoying the end of the year?
