Our family purchased an adjacent ranch recently that has many old and unused buildings on it. Here is one that used to hold grain. I always love red barns. They look especially wonderful in the winter as they stand out against all the cool and barren landscape. Here are some cool old dividers. I'm not sure what are in them. But we are storing four wheelers in this building. Here is another barn that had a grain mill at one time but we gave it to some Amish friends (the millstone that is). It has to be hooked up to a tractor and belt to use, so they are prepared to use it. Another view of one of the barns...
Hi everyone! I am currently out west going snowboarding and checking on my property and ranch. I has fun snowboarding and now am doung some work and visiting friends out here.
Meet Billy the Goat. Billy was purchased by one of our seasonal employees from Mexico to be butchered for meat. But then he and his son grew attached and decided to keep him. But when their work visa expired and they left for Mexico, Billy jumped into our Ranch truck and "adopted" us. Billy loves to climb things. We made some climbing areas out of hay bales and other material for him. The first couple of days he was chained up during the day to keep him from running off and chasing the calves. But now that the calves are gone and Billy is used to his new home, he is free to roam. He has made friends...
I just got back from Idaho last night. I've been working on shipping orders and finishing up some projects.
If you are on vacation, hope you have safe and happy travels. Back in Chicago now where there has been a ton of rain. Had some problems in my home here and am doing a big cleanup project. Had to repair some pipes. Other than that, life is good.
