Found these old photos today from the ranch in Idaho. The original Moulton ranch was in Jackson Hole WY and these items came from there. This is an old trunk covered in a branded cow hide. Very cool, no? Also I had photographed these old wood skis and snowshoes that were used on the ranch in Jackson, Wy.
Dusty is a paint horse who is very happy to see me. He and his friend Tuffy (across in a different pasture so he can be caught) are both paint horses and have the lovely two toned coloring. Every day Dusty comes and says hi. I didn't get a chance to ride him this week but hope to soon.
Spring in Idaho is a study in contrasts. The fields are as green as they can be while the mountains are often still covered in snow. \ Also, this year, the Salmon River is higher than its been in 100 years. So much snow and precipitation and run off. There is actually an island here that is completely covered.
