Starting to see signs of spring peeking through the frozen ground near Chicago, IL.   Cattails and moss and hardy shoots of green peeking through patches of snow mixed with last season's brown leaves.  

Today I am painting some ballet pointe shoes.  I really like the effects of painting satin and ribbons.
