Salt Water Taffy Original Oil Painting Angela Moulton
Salt Water Taffy is a painting inspired by the bulk bins at the local grocer full of colorful taffy. Peppermint, licorice, huckleberry, cinnamon, and more interesting flavors recall old time nickel candies.
When I was a kid in Woodstock, IL, there is an old-fashioned square in town. On the square there used to be a china shop that sold candy. Think of it! A china shop selling candy. The owners were older and really loved kids coming in and seeing all the kids. It was a win-win situation from my experience.
Little reminder of the "sweet" things in life.
